vm.reset
========

Reset ``id`` VM.

Performs an immediate hardware-level reset of the virtual machine, equivalent to pressing the reset button. The guest OS receives no warning and the VM restarts instantly without going through a clean shutdown cycle.

.. warning::
    Data loss or filesystem corruption may occur if the guest has unflushed writes
    at the time of the reset. Prefer :doc:`vm.restart <api_methods_vm.restart>` for a clean restart
    when the guest is responsive.
